I’ve been doing Brazilian waxing on all genders for a decade, I have seen it all, heard it all, and been kicked and punched a few times too! (It’s ok…I get it… it hurts)

But one thing that I have been getting a lot recently are teens asking for this service. Their parents book for them or they book themselves. There is currently no option on my online booking for age verification for services. Some parents who aren’t into waxing or trends don’t know what a Brazilian is. It is also known as a “Hollywood wax” or a “Sphynx wax”. (i love these cats, i should change the name haha) Some parents don’t think it a big deal. but just think: you’d let a total stranger with no Dr’s degree touch your kid’s genitals? (under 16 is still a kid, i don’t care how mature or adult you are)

Because very bluntly that’s what it is. Underwear off, waxing everything off which means touching skin; pulling outer labia, and vulva skin taught/pulling scrotal sac taught, having to move the client’s penis out of the way of the way. Yes, clients can help move their own skin around but still.

If your teen is worried about the fit and look of bathing suits, that can be done with a bikini wax because its just the inner thighs and a bit on the top.

People under the age of 16 can not consent if the person is in the position of trust or authority towards them, for example, their teacher or coach. I would consider myself as I am telling you to remove your clothes and a professional in a position of trust. see age of consent Ontario. You trust your esthetician to be professional and cause the least amount of pain possible for you.

I truly do not appreciate being put in this situation by clients not disclosing during the booking if their kid is an adult or not. And as a mom I wouldn’t like my kid putting me in that awkward position either.

Wait till you’re an adult. If your boyfriend or partner pressures you into it then you need to tell them to fuck off. Asking you to modify your body in a, to be honest …a painful way, for only their pleasure is bullshit.

This goes for everyone: brazillians are great, they feel nice and smooth, underwear doesn’t chafe and some people need help with ingrown hairs and waxing is very good at that. But do it for yourself and no one else.
